Today marks the last day of the 2025 Astro’s College Classic and this morning the first game between Tennessee University vs. Arizona University was a great game to start the last day of the series. As these two teams battled it out on the diamond, there were lots of cheers, shouting by hecklers, and screams from fans on both sides determined to boost the morale of their respective teams. This is not to say that neither team had low morale, but it would be American Baseball without fans having verbal outbursts during the game for whatever reason.
As entertaining as the crowd was, the players were even more entertaining. With neither team scoring a run in the first inning, it wouldn’t be until the Arizona Wildcats score the first run of the game at the bottom of the second. Tennessee was able to keep Arizona at bay in the third inning as they scored their first run at the top of the fourth inning.
There were no runs scored by any team during the course of the fifth and sixth innings. But that doesn’t mean there wasn't any action on the field. There were plenty of spectacular catches that led to outs by the outfielders and tags on the bases. The Tennessee Volunteers scored two runs in the seventh inning drastically giving them the upper hand by increasing the score to 4-1. By the eighth inning no runs were scored by either team. At the top of the ninth, Tennessee University scored another run bringing the score to 5 to Arizona University 1.
