If you’re going to be traveling to Houston Texas or if you’re already residing in Houston Texas, and you’re a fan of the baseball and the MLB (Major League Baseball); make sure that you take the time out to go to Minute Maid Park, home of the world champion Houston Astros for the 2nd Annual Cactus Jack HBCU Classic which will start February 16-18. This MLB special event will feature the following university baseball teams in a 9-game series that is going to be happening all weekend long. The teams that will be competing will be:
Texas Southern University
Prairie View A&M University
Southern University
Grambling State University
Jackson State University
Alcorn State University
The day and start times for each of games are as follows:
FRIDAY
11:00 am Alcorn Vs. Southern University
3:00 pm Jackson State University Vs. Texas Southern University
7:00 pm Prairie View A&M University Vs. Grambling State University
SATURDAY
11:00 am Jackson State University Vs Alcorn University
3:00 pm Grambling University Vs Southern University
7:00 pm Texas State University Vs Prairie View A&M University
SUNDAY

As a bonus, they will be giving away exclusive Travis Scott bobbleheads to the first 800 HBCU baseball heads in attendance one hour before each of the games. So, if you’re looking for an initiative to come out to the Astros ballpark (Minute Maid Park) this should motivate you to come out. Concession stands that will be open and ready to satisfy your hunger while you’re relaxing and watching the game. Single tickets for each are $10.00- and three-day ticket packages are also available at $27.00. There are also private suites that you can obtain for your group viewing pleasure. If you’re worried about parking, you can get a three-day parking pass which costs $21.00.
Dress for the weather because you never know – they just may decide to open the roof of the stadium. Remember, this is a great weekend for baseball.
