3 Reasons Not Join The U.S. Military in 2024

Written by Michael Thervil

For many people in America, this article may seem unpatriotic. However, it can be said that being a patriot is tantamount to being blindly stupid. But we as journalists have a duty to the American public as we are their eyes and ears. As many already know the American Military has failed to reach their 2023 recruitment goals, missing it by 41,000 recruits. Currently it’s forecasted that these trends will continue well into if not beyond 2024. The question is why? For starters the U.S. Military is citing issues with the American Public which range from social issues such as obesity and general bad health, to potential recruits suffering from mental health issues. Moreover, the U.S. Military Has stated that another reason why many potential recruits are turned away is because of past criminal behavior. And the issue of “wokeism” has also been cited as an issue.

But although the U.S. Military claims are true, there are other reasons why the U.S. Military is struggling to meet its recruitment goals and those reasons are because of infidelity, their failure to win wars, and the now public knowledge of America's wealthy using the U.S. Military to line their pockets. Until the U.S. Military fixes the issues presented here and more, then it’s predicted that they will continue to struggle to find recruits to resupply the decreasing numbers in their ranks.

Reason 1# Not To Join The U.S. Military – Infidelity.

When you look at Article 134 concerning infidelity in the Uniform Criminal Code of Military Justice (military law) its “a crime punishable by a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for up to 1 year.” The question is, does it really get enforced? In short – no. One of the reasons being is because UCMJ is not uniformly executed across America's military equally. Infidelity in the U.S. Military is endemic. This position is true when you consider that 70% of all marriages in the U.S. Armed Forces involved 1 infidelity. In fact, it’s one of the leading causes why U.S. Servicemen kill their spouses. So, if you are looking to maintain a marriage while in the U.S. Military forget about it.

Reason 2# Failure To Win Wars.

Most people around the world love to be a part of something that is bigger than themselves, this is why people join subcultures, META groups, gangs, and country clubs. The people that join the U.S. Military are no different. Adding on the fact that people love to be on the side of a winning team adds credence to what’s being discussed here. The fact that America hasn’t won a war since it’s Revolutionary War (1775) and any war after that that America can claim as winning has not been due to winning on its own but from a collective effort of other western aligned powers. So, the question that many people around America are asking is: “Why should I sign up to potentially die for a team that has historically never won a war on its own since its 1st war that resulted in its conception nearly 250 years ago?”

Reason 3# Use of Servicemen To Protect The Pockets Of The Wealthy.

Many Americans have caught on to the fact the U.S. Military aggressively recruits the young men and women of the poor echelon of American society. They see it all the time at U.S. public high schools and community colleges. But the people of America never see army recruitment at The Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, Columbus, Brown, or Cornell; and they want to know why. Even more than that, it’s the poor young men and women who tend to die the most when it comes to fighting America’s losing wars.

Meanwhile, children of the U.S. congressional members are typically shielded from the recruitment tactics of the U.S. Military. In fact, it’s the wealthy Americans who dictate policy that almost exclusively sends poor and middle-class people into wars to die on their behalf so that U.S. representatives and Presidents can directly profit from the wars themselves. Remember these three words: Military Industrial Complex.
