Ok, I first stumbled onto Castelbel while I was doing some shopping at Marshall’s. It was then I saw Castelbel for the first time. It was the packaging that got my attention, then it was the size of the soap (10.oz). But when I finally looked at the price for a single bar it was 3 or 4 dollars (can't remember exactly). However, I reluctantly bought one anyway just to see why the price point was set the way it was for this particular soap. I mean seriously, you can buy a three pack of bar soap at Walmart for the same price.
When I got home after shopping, and while unpacking the items I brought from the store, I looked at this soap and smelled it and I could smell its fragrance through its packaging and I have to admit, the scent alone made me forget all about the price I paid for the soap. A couple of days went by, and I finally decided to use this soap for the first time. At first thought, I was thinking here I go washing 3 or 4 dollars down the drain.
It was at this point I realized that I was wrong. The soap really felt good on my skin, and the smell combined with the hot shower I was taking really did feel refreshing - I think I stayed in the shower an extra 5 or 10 minutes just to stay in the positive mind state this anything but ordinary bar soap placed me in. I actually felt like I was “washing in luxury”, seriously. When that happened that's when I made up my mind to go back down to Marshall’s where I got it from and got two more bars.
I can promise you to this day I keep at least two bars of Castelbel’s in my “smell good” box so I can take the time out and revisit that feeling of bathing in luxury which has positive effect on my mood and perception and plays a role in my self-esteem. It plays a role in my self-esteem so much so that when I see a bar of Zest in Walmart, I'm more apt to look at it in disgust. Shame on me, right?! In any case make sure you take the time out to get a couple, if not several, bars of soap from Castelbel here.
