American football legend and controversial sport figure Orenthal James Simpson has become the latest victim of prostate cancer at the age of 71. Simply known as O.J. Simpson, who played in the National Football League (NFL) and is known for his skills on the field as a Running Back for the Buffalo Bills, is a Sports Commentator and sports lover's dream who will be severely missed. Moreover, he is also an accomplished Actor who has been able to secure many television and major film roles.
Outside of his professional life as a NFL Running Back and Actor, he’s also been the face of controversy since the early 1990’s. The controversy that has seemed to haunt him was the mysterious murders of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1992 and the court case that followed oddly during the L.A. Riots in 1992.
But the marriage of O.J. Simpson and controversy doesn't end there. From having to various pay court ordered civil judgements throughout his life, to having his home foreclosed and demolished, to having a Judge sabotaging his book deal and television interview, all the way to having pay back taxes to the tune of $1.44 million and then having his efforts to have his name and “The Juice” trademark sabotage by “a concerned citizen”.
It doesn't end there. All of this was followed by him being arrested in Miami-Dade for burglary and simple battery, having his new home getting raided because of someone alleged he was running a drug-trafficking ring, to Directv suing him for pirating their broadcast signal to the tune of $58,678. If that wasn't enough, he was later convicted of committing armed robbery in Las Vegas. It's no wonder why O.J. Simpson's name has been cemented into the hall of fame when it comes to controversy.
Beyond all of this controversy, O.J. Simpson is still loved and regarded as one of the best NFL Running Backs that have touched the field. Regardless of how some people may perceive him he will be deeply missed.
