Yet another spectacular game played by both teams as the cactus jack HBCU classic winds down today. This is the first game of the day and mother nature has decided to change its mind when it comes to the weather. But despite that, both Grambling State and Alabama A&M brought sunshine and heat to the diamond here at Daikin Park, home of the World Champion Astros. This game was kicked off with a great start as Grambling State University scored 5 runs at the top of the first half of the first inning.

Although Grambling State University scored five runs in the first inning, Alabama A&M also scored once in the first and came back in the bottom of the second inning with another 4 runs. But that was after Grambling State University scored their 4 runs at the top of the second inning bringing them to a total score of 9 runs to Alabama A&M’s 5.

Alabama A&M scored another 2 runs in the bottom half of the third inning followed by Grambling State University scoring another 2 runs in the top of the fourth inning. Alabama A&M strategically hit back with an additional 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. There was barely any real moment by either team in the sixth inning besides Grambling State University scoring 1 run. The seventh inning ended with Grambling State University scoring 2 more runs.

The ninth inning was incredible and that's all we’re going to say about that. The one thing that we can say about this game is that if stealing bases was a crime, then Alabama A&M is most definitely guilty as charged. It's been a long time since anyone in baseball has ever seen this number of bases stolen in the way that they were stolen. Even though Alabama A&M had their fair share of doubters and detractors; the one thing we can guarantee is that they sure look like Alabama A&M baseball fans now. Final score: Grambling State University 14 - Alabama A&M 15. Here's the highlighted Box Scores from today's game.
