People all over America are seeming to tune into what's going on in the West Indian country of Haiti. But even more than that there are many people tuning into the crisis that’s happening in Haiti for the first time, and understandably, people that are paying attention to the crisis in Haiti for the first time are aware of how and why Haiti is facing the socio-economic issues that it is facing today. Keep in mind that obtaining the correct historical context matters on the geopolitical stage. Since this is the case, we are curating videos from various other media outlets that have demonstrated a high level of competency regarding the crisis in Haiti.

In our last article on Haiti entitled: “A Failed State Haiti: Haitian Revolution 2.0” we touched on what we called a “Nine-headed Hydra” which are nine key reasons why Haiti as a country is in the position that it's in. However, it's also best to take the time out to provide resources that will help you grasp a deeper understanding of the root cause of this travesty.

Understand something, Haiti is the first Black country in the world's western hemisphere, and in becoming that, it has led many people to believe that the crisis that Haiti has been facing since its independence from France in 1804, is due to that fact. Another interesting thing about this situation which has become the “black eye of the western world” is that America isn’t too far from it (689mi or 1,108km away) is something to really look at especially when America seems to have the ability to give away billions in foreign aid to countries like Ukraine, Jordan, and demonstrated the ability to give away at least 2% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP)  to NATO for defense purposes while Haiti is literally in its backyard.

But don't take our word for it, see what other media outlets are saying regarding the geopolitical crisis in Haiti.
