Welcome back from yet another weekend. The main attraction for this weekend in Houston was the Fashion, Fitness and Swimwear Fashion Show that occurred on Saturday. This particular Fashion Show was a very upbeat and energetic show that featured some of the best local and international Fashion, Fitness and Swimwear Clothing Designers in the world. Also in the mix that’s worth mentioning is the fact they had some of the best Male and Female Models to walk the runway at this event.
Fashion Fitness and Swim was founded by Carmen Martinez, Khali Quartey, and Kevin Murray, and stylist Kele Helm. Carmen martinez started the show in 2019 after honoring her best friend that lost her battle and died by suicide. This is the 3rd annual event benefiting the American foundation for suicide prevention in Southeast Texas.
The venue was not only sold out and crowded but they also had vendors of all sorts in attendance as well. It also had a full service bar, fruit buffet and finger foods as well. What we liked about this particular Fashion Show was not only the beautiful women that graced us with their presence on the runway but, we really appreciated the male models for showing up and showing out. This special acknowledgment that we are giving to the men is important to recognize and understand because it can be hard to find Male Models; especially the ones that were featured in this Fashion Show.
Secondly, the central cause that this fashion show was centered around was Men's Health in general as this month (June) is Men’s Mental Health Month specifically. Men’s Health is an important topic that most people don’t talk about enough and the Mainstream Media continuously fails to address when compared to the multitude of Women’s Health issues and various topics thereof.
Again the ladies that walked the runway were all excellent in every way imaginable but because this Fashion Show highlighted men’s health in general, we would like to take the time out to highlight the Male Models that stood out to us and that was 3x Mr. Olympia Winner Brandon Hendrickson and The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) world renowned Professional Bodybuilder Khalfani Quartey. Both of these exceptional Professional Athletes and Male Models serve as Model Bodybuilder’s for those that are either interested or are currently participating in the art of Bodybuilding as a sport.
