For The H Magazine Legends Awards

Written by Michael Thervil

Over the weekend, Houston’s own Khalid Rasheed of both Pulse Magazine and for the H Magazine hosted his annual “For The Culture Award Show”. The For The Culture Award Show not only acknowledges but honors notable people and entrepreneur’s native to Houston with an award to celebrate their achievements and what they have done for not only the City of Houston but for the communities on a grass roots level that make up the City of Houston. It’s very refreshing to see deserving people and entrepreneurs be honored with awards because it takes a special kind of person to either perform the awe-inspiring acts of community service and or utilize their ability to create the very much needed socio-economic stimuluses to the communities that make up Houston, who oftentimes obtain no governmental subsidies to do so.

By Khalid Rasheed, creating and hosting “The For The Culture Award Show”, it does more than simply allow people and entrepreneurs to be honored and recognized for their community service by giving them awards. What it does is, it lets those recipients of those awards know that someone, somewhere is listening and watching the added value that they bring to the community. It lets them know that they are appreciated and very much needed in the communities in which they serve. The For The Culture Awards Show inspires and propels those awardees to keep going forward, and to keep striving to be the change that they want to see within the communities they serve.

The For The Culture Award Show will feature great food and some of the best drink specials from Houston by Ms. Butler, owner and operator of MoCity Grill. In addition, the For The Culture Award Show will also feature live entertainment and music performances by some of Houston Texas’s finest musicians and artists. Like we always say here at VEDA Magazine, don’t take out word for it; take a look for yourself. And to Houston’s own Khalid Rasheed, we thank you and appreciate what you do as you’re a shining example of what a change agent is and should be. Keep shedding light on the people and entrepreneurs of Houston because when one makes it – all of Houston Texas makes it. Enjoy the photos.
