Everyone in Haiti can agree that the level of corruption in the Haitian government is astronomical. Whether it be financial corruption and greed or in the military and police and the enforcement of Haitian national law, corruption in Haiti seems to be everywhere and has become normalized from the perspective of the average Haitian. The reason why former Prime Minister Garry Conille was essentially fired from office was because of his inability to not only stabilize Haiti as a country, but his inability to transform the huge agriculture base that Haiti has in its control which could be capitalized on to the benefit of the Haitian people. But what was really the icing on the cake was his inability to put an end to the gang violence that runs through Haiti like the Bubonic Plague.

The notion that Garry Conille could agree to bringing in Kenyan police into the country to help stop the gang violence that Haitians face on a day to day is a testament to how weak and ineffective Garry Conille was as a Prime Minister. Besides crime, the rampant poverty that Haitians face on a day-to-day basis is due to the lack of employment opportunities which allows people to socio-economically uplift themselves out of poverty. With roughly 30% of Haitians living in poverty and 50% severely struggling in the middle class, it’s a no-brainer because Garry Conille was fired as Prime Minister.

Now with 52-year-old Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, an entrepreneur, replacing Garry Conille Prime as the Minister of Haiti, we wonder if his formal education at Boston university in the areas of Business Management and Finance will fare any better than his predecessor. The reason why we at VEDA Communications are holding this position is because there is a stark difference between education, entrepreneurial skills, and civil governance.

Haiti as a country has been in the proverbial dumps for so long, that people all over the world are anxiously waiting for Haiti to essentially reinvent itself in a sense. From geopolitical, geological, and socio-economic setbacks, it’s just been one thing after another. Political manipulation outside of Haiti by the Collective West is another thing to consider when it comes to judging the success of Alix Didier Fils-Aimé in due time as the newly appointed Prime Minister. To the people and leadership of Haiti, we at VEDA Communications leave you with these four words: THE WORLD IS WATCHING.
