Established in 1982 by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hezbollah appears to have been created to not only serve as a counter to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, but it also transformed into a political organization in the 1990’s. Previously held in high esteem, it wouldn’t be until the 1990’s that Hezbollah would be perceived to be engaging in terrorist activities because of their execution of car and suicide bombings, and other acts of violence to include an attack on a Israeli Embassy (Buenos Aires) by the Arab League, which consist of 22 member Arab states which were mostly Sunni based Muslim countries, and the Collective West.
Despite what’s reported above, it wouldn’t be until 2016 that Hezbollah would be officially documented as a “Terrorist Organization”. Many people believe that the Arab League went along with the Collective West’s labeling of Hezbollah as a Terrorist Organization in order to maintain positive relations with the Collective West. Because of that, those who subscribe to that school of thought tend to consider the Arab League “traitors” to not only Hezbollah, but to all Muslim countries that supported Hezbollah.
But today, the delisting of Hezbollah, a Shi'ite organization as a Terrorist Organization, is seen as a win for Iran and other supporters of Hezbollah. It was reported by Egyptian Al-Qahera News that “the member states of the League agreed that the label of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization should no longer be employed”. People that stand against Hezbollah are not only infuriated, but they are demanding answers as to why the terrorist organization designation has been removed.
The answer lies in the fact that a foreign policy expert by the name of Dr. Walid Phares advised key people in Washington D.C. that if they removed the terrorist organization label from Hezbollah they would in turn, “keep the status quo” in Lebanon and cease its efforts to stop its attacks towards Israel. This is nothing more than an attempt to “balance the scales” or to engage in “quid pro quo” so to speak. It’s been reported that many people aren’t so sure that the recommendation by Dr. Walid Phares on this matter will yield the desired outcome by politicians in Washington D.C.
Right now, the Biden Administration, who doesn’t have control over Israel is looking to shape the looming conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in its favor because the Biden Administration knows that not only can’t Israel defeat Hezbollah, but they also know that they simply can't afford the economic stress or burden of debt on the American economy that is sure to come if they are suckered in to backing Israel should they engage Hezbollah in a hot war.
This “win-win” approach, which is used extensively by China, could be in the eyes of many to avoid the expansion of the war between not only Israel and Hamas, but for Israel and Hezbollah. More than that. The win-win approach is also a nice way for the west to save money and channel those funds to the ever ramping up of a potential war with the “Trifecta” the Pacific Theater, as well as to keep gas prices down on an international level and to keep America and the Collective West from suffering yet another defeat in the region.
The decision to remove Hezbollah as a terrorist organization is a lot to digest for many people. Backed exclusively with nearly unlimited funding by Iran, Hezbollah is considered a force to be reckoned with when it comes to war, especially against Israel. It’s our position at VEDA Communications that the current list of world leaders will do anything to either prevent or stop the widening of the war between Israel and Hezbollah because it boils down to one thing – their money.
