Houston Dynamo vs Austin FC

This past Saturday, April 20, 2024, the Houston Dynamos faced off against Austin FC at the Shell Stadium in Houston. It was a tough game that led to the defeat of the Houston Dynamos to Austin 1 to 0, with Austin's FC Emiliano Rigoni scoring the game point in the second half.    

   

Getting into the game stats, the Houston Dynamos executed 17 shots with 6 shots on target, Austin on the other hand executed 7 shots with 4 shots on target. The Dynamos had ball possession 68% of the time. This is not unusual as the Houston Dynamos tend to maintain a high percentage of ball possession in nearly every game they play. The Austin FC had the ball in their possession 32% of the time. The Houston Dynamos had an 87% pass accuracy as compared to Austin’s 77%.

Austin acquired 11 fouls compared to Houston's 16. It should be noted that Dynamo fans were extremely disappointed in many of the calls made by the referees which led to the Dynamos receiving 4 Yellow Cards to Austin’s 2. No Red Cards were issued. Both teams had an equal amount of offsides calls which came out to 2 pieces. Lastly, Austin FC had 1 Corner to the Dynamos 2.   

   

The next game for the Houston Dynamos will be April 27th, 2024, when they match up against Dallas FC at the Toyota Stadium located at 9200 World Cup Way, Frisco, TX 75033. Currently the probability of winning is close between the two teams with the Houston Dynamos chances of beating the Dallas FC at 33% - Dallas winning 38% respectively. Stats or not, this next game is anyone's game as it's going to be a wild one.
