This Saturday's Major League Soccer (MLS) match between the Houston Dynamo versus the St. Louis City SC was a great match that filled the Shell Energy Stadium with MLS fans of all ages. This particular match up was one in which both teams played exceptionally hard on the field, and this was evident based upon the number shots that were taken between the two teams. By the half time, the Houston Dynamo’s had taken 10 shots with 4 corner kicks while the St. Louis city SC had comparatively taken 8 shots with 3 corner kicks. 

 

Even though the ending game scores were 0-0, it should be noted that both teams courageously played “till the end” with the Houston Dynamos taking a whopping 24 shots, with 3 saves, 5 total corner kicks with 7 fouls. The St. Louis City SC in contrast took a shocking 16 shots, earning 9 saves, with 7 corner kicks and 12 fouls. The Houston Dynamo’s had 7 shots on target to the St. Louis City SC’s 3 shots, this resulted with the Dynamo’s maintaining ball possession 63% of the time; the St. Louis City SC had the ball in their possession 32% of the time.

The Dynamo’s had a staggering 572 passes while keeping the fast pitched momentum on the field with a pass accuracy of 86%. In contrast, the St. Louis City SC achieved 262 passes with a 74% pass accuracy rate. When it came to issuance of Yellow Cards, the Dynamo’s received 1 while the St. Louis City SC received 2. No Red Cards were issued. By the end of the game, the Dynamo’s had a total of 5 corners while St. Louis City SC led with 7.
