The first round of the University of Scholastic League (UIL) Texas basketball playoffs began this evening. In a key Bi-District 6A matchup, Ft Bend Clements (19-12), who feature Aziz and Malik Olajuwon, who are the two sons of the NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, faced the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 4th ranked Shadow Creek High School (30-2) at Hopson Fieldhouse in Missouri City Monday evening. The Sharks took an early bite out of the Rangers and never looked back as they led quarter to quarter which ended the season for Clements. Shadow Creek was paced by future University of Houston hooper Bryce Jackson (20) and talented unsigned senior prospects Michael Collins (25pts), Julian Cullier (10) and Aiden Law (9). In the Area round of the playoffs, the Sharks will face the winner of Clear Falls vs Kingwood.
