With everyone engaging in some form of content creation or media production in 2025, there seems to be a shortage of places where Content Creators and Producers can not only meet with like-minded individuals, but book media classes, shoot films and shorts, conduct photoshoots, rent equipment, create podcasts and have the opportunity for their content to be aired on local television. Well, Houston Media Source or HMS for short is the solution to that problem. Previously located on 410 Roberts St, Houston, TX 77003, HMS has moved into a much larger location that boasts a historical significance in the East End neighborhood of Houston Texas.

Now located at 7305 Navigation St. Houston Texas 77011, HMS has placed itself in an even better position to not only serve Content Creators and Producers within Houston and the surrounding counties, but it has placed itself in the position to be an invaluable asset that caters to the needs, wants, and desires of Content Creators and Producers within Houston and its surrounding counties.

Here’s what you need to know: the new location of the Houston Media Source used to be a YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) building that was first built in 1978 and was renovated in 1998. It’s a robust 1 story building that consists of 24,270 sq/ft. Another thing that we like about HMS’s new space is that it also has a huge auditorium which is currently being used as an event space. It also has a commercial kitchen built into it as well, this is a prime location for any Content Creators that are looking to create and produce their own cooking show. The new HMS location is a two-minute drive from the Magnolia Park Transit Center, a 10-minute drive from the nearest Amtrak rail line; as well as a 19-minute drive from William P. Hobby Airport, and a 31-minute drive to George Bush International Airport.

Two nights ago, to the date of this entry HMS had an open house event in which the entire Media Industry in Houston was able to come to the new location, network and mingle, eat and tour the entire campus to see what HMS had to offer them. also at the HMS open house, Judge Lori Gray, made an appearance to swear in the new HMS Board of Directors which consisted of Jerold La Beaux (Board President), Arlene Russell (Chief Marketing Officer), Mel Petersen (Production Manager), Jesse Rodriguez (Board Member), Alex Lester (Board Member), Vivian King (Houston Prosecutor & Producer), and Council Member at Large Willie Davis.

So, if you’re a Content Creator, Cinematographer, Pod Caster, Videographer, Film Maker, Video Editor, or Photographer, the Houston Media Source is the one stop shop for you. The Houston Media Source is located at 7305 Navigation St. Houston Texas 77011. Hope to see you there.
