The Black Business Expo is a national Black Business Trade Show that takes place in Houston Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Downtown Houston. It’s a three-day event that allows both black and non-black businesses the opportunity to showcase their businesses and offer their services and products to consumers on the spot. This year’s Black Business Expo consisted of everything from education and technology to cosmetics, insurance companies to consumer engagements that informed and inspired attendees to not only participate but to become entrepreneurs themselves.
We spoke to many of the businesses that participated in this event and found that they consisted of both startups and more experienced businesses within the open market that had products and services that were simply outstanding. At this Expo they had live entertainment, free health screenings, women’s forums, and a lot of opportunities for the children and teens alike. But for us the businesses that really took the cake were the businesses that were at the forefront of education and technology. From robotics and automation to inspiring the visiting youth to take charge of their lives and the encouraging of future generations of world and market leaders to find niches in the free market and develop solutions in a sustainable way was something that really captured our attention here at VEDA Magazine.
