The legacy of Chicagoan James J. Green is alive. If you’re from Chicago, Il. Then you’re expected to have high expectations when you see local favorite eateries like JJ’s Fish & Chicken outside the city of Chicago. This is especially true when you run into Chicago born restaurants in cities like Atlanta Georgia, Southfield Michigan, multiple cities in California, and now Dallas and Houston Texas. JJ’s Fish & Chicken in Houston Texas includes all the Chicago favorites such as Italian Beef, Pizza Puffs, chicken wings, and of course its famous fried fish. However, JJ’s Fish & Chicken of Houston Texas also includes southern regional favorites such as crawfish, scallops, and oysters. Like the famous JJ’s Fish & Chicken Chicago chains (over 90 restaurants in Chicago alone) it still sticks to the tradition of providing affordable plates (meals) that come standard with french fries, cole slaw, bread, and of course mild sauce.
The original JJ’s Fish & Chicken was located on 35th Martin Luther King Drive in Chicago, Il. Now if you are from Chicago; and if you’re from Chicago and love fried chicken, and if you’re from Chicago and love fried chicken coated with mild sauce, then you know mild sauce taste great on fried chicken, fried fish, french fries and more than anything – you know that nobody knows how to make mild sauce outside of the factory it comes from. With that said, all you need to know is that mild sauce tastes good – and that’s good enough. No high school diploma needed.
Moreover, it’s fair to say that the Houston based version of JJ’s Fish & Chicken has done a fantastic job of bringing a piece of Chicago down to Houston Texas – and the people of Houston love it. Another thing that the Houston based JJ’s Fish & Chicken restaurant chain has brought to the forefront is their nice selection of desserts that include banana pudding, a great selection of cake and other pastries. If you’re unfamiliar with JJ’s Fish & Chicken it’s a Chicago based restaurant chain in which you can get 4 chicken wings, french fries, bread, coleslaw and a pop (soda) for $8 and some change. This is a way better deal than you can get from the likes of McDonalds, Wendy’s, Subway, and just about any other large-scale fast-food chain no matter where you are in the country.
