Miss Bolivia Alondra Mercado Campos Arrested On Arms Trafficking

The question that’s on people's minds is: “how did she even get involved in a situation like this?” It seems as if beauty is truly only skin deep and what lies beneath that is often a shell that hides people’s darkest instincts, desires, trials, and tribulations. According to reports, her boyfriend Andres Vasquez is currently on the run and has been deemed a fugitive by Bolivian law enforcement. 22-year-old former 2020 Miss Bolivia and former Miss Charm Bolivia 2023 Alondra Mercado Campos also known as Alondra MC is currently being held for 30 days in pretrial detention before her trial date at the Trinidad Women’s Prison in Beni, Bolivia.

Along with the arms trafficking charge and arrest, there is also a pending narcotics investigation in which her boyfriend is involved in going on as well. Bolivian law-enforcement are also seeking to charge Alondra Mercado Campos with drug trafficking as well. According to reports, the Bolivia Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking executed a raid on their home. It was reported that roughly 100 firearms were recovered. It appears that their home was being used to generate sales from weapons and narcotics. This position can be held as the Departmental Prosecutor of Beni (Gerardo Balderas) revealed seized cell phone video evidence that features both Andres Vasquez and Mercado Campos partying with the same weapons that were confiscated from their home.

But who is Andres Vasquez? Currently we haven’t been able to ascertain who he is exactly. However, what we do know is that by decree the judge presiding over the case has deemed Alondra Mercado Campos a flight risk, so this is why she’s being held in pretrial detention. Could it be possible that Alondra Mercado Campos was being used by her boyfriend as a pawn in a greater scheme or could it be that she knew what was going on and thus can be considered a willing participant in the trafficking of weapons and narcotics?
