Let's get into it, Major League Rugby, a grossly underrated collusion sport in Houston (and worldwide) which is powered by the Houston SaberCats kicked off their first home game of the 2025 season with a powerful display of skill and aggressiveness on the field against Chicago hounds last night. Even though the Houston SaberCats lost this game by a very thin margin, it was still a really great game to watch. While some worried about the weather conditions, the overwhelming fans of the Houston SaberCats, who packed the stadium could care less as they came out in droves to show their love for the extreme sport of Rugby, but more importantly for the Houston SaberCats.

The Houston SaberCats, who were and are predicted to be in first place again for 2025 in the MLR Western Conference lost yesterday by a mere 3 petty points. For fans, this was a downer because the SaberCats managed to not only score first in the game, but they scored 7 points within the first 15 minutes of the game. What we love about the Houston SaberCats was/is their performance on the field. They play with the perfect blend of power, speed, strength, aggression and team cohesiveness. The next scheduled SaberCats game will be on February 23rd at 5pm at 2055 Mowery Rd, Houston, TX 77051 in which the SaberCats will face off against the LA RFC.

Whether a fan of the SaberCats, LA RFC, or both, people are looking forward to this match-up because the last time these two teams went head-to-head on the field, the Houston SaberCats had a field day defeating the LA RFC back in august 6, 2024 which resulted in the Houston SaberCats winning 29-12. Although the Houston SaberCats lost this game, which means nothing to the fans of the SaberCats, the professional rugby scene in Houston is barely heating up. With that being said - go SaberCats.
