Despite the rain and the cold weather that saturated the game, Dynamo fans, both young and old, showed up and showed out for the Houston Dynamo’s first game of the 2025 season. Fans could be seen bundled up and staying in tight hurdles to keep warm while cheering on the Houston Dynamo’s. It would be the first half of the game in which the Houston Dynamo’s would score the first point of the match.
During the first half the Houston Dynamo were able to execute 3 shots while the Dallas FC were able to execute 2. The Dynamo’s were also able to get 3 shots on target while the Dallas FC fell behind by one. Houston Dynamo’s also had possession of the ball 51% of the time. Even though this year's 2025 dynamo team is significantly different than last season, it comes to no surprise that the Dynamo would have more ball possession than the contrasting team. Up until half time, the Houston Dynamo was able to complete 262 successful passes, with a pass accuracy rate of 87%. Dallas FC, although not too far behind, were able to achieve 253 successful passes with a pass accuracy rate of 85% by halftime.

In the second half, Dallas FC was able to score another goal, taking over the lead that the Dynamo’s had. As a result, there was a modification to the probability of winning the game with Dallas FC now at an 80% chance of winning to the Dynamo’s 2% with a 17% chance of a draw. This game had Dynamo fans on the edge of their seats.
The Houston Dynamo lost to Dallas FC 1-2 by the end of the game.
