With the Houston Dynamo’s win over the LA Galaxy FC last Saturday on the 19th, many MLS fans are wondering if they will be able to defeat the Seattle Sounders as they are ranked 4th in the MLS at the start of the 2024 Audi MLS playoffs. The Houston Dynamos will play a special best of three games match against the Seattle Sounders in order to advance. The Houston Dynamos have a lot to be thankful for, especially since their teammate Daniel Steres who was able to make the game winning goal for them during their last game. When we took the time out to talk to some Dynamo Fans about how they felt about the Dynamos and their win and entry into the playoffs; some Dynamo fans stated that they would like them [Dynamo’s] to take more attempts at scoring.
Alongside that, they expressed that they think that the Dynamo’s should pick up more traction on their offensive game. And although the Dynamo’s always seem to play with a great deal of intensity, there were some fans that expressed that they would like to see more aggression on the pitch from the Dynamo’s. But as always, there’s always going to be some detractors. What we mean by this is that there were some MLS fans that felt that the Dynamo’s won’t fare as well against the Seattle Sounders when it comes to both teams facing off on the pitch. What seems to back up their claim is the current win probability. It was estimated that the Seattle Sounders have a win probability of 51.1% when it comes to their next game against the Dynamos on Monday, October 28th. This win probability leaves the Houston Dynamo at a 22.6% chance of winning with the probability of the game ending in a draw at roughly 26.%.

In a nutshell, one can say that the odds of the Dynamo’s winning their next game against the Sounders are stacked against them. But stacked odds or not, everyone expects a great game to be played on the pitch. This match will be played at Lumen Field located at 800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134 on October 28th, 2024. Kick off starts at 6:00pm.
