Houston Dynamo fans get ready! This is the match that many of you have been asking for and it's finally here – the Houston Dynamo vs. El Salvador. This will be the first time that the Houston Dynamo will face off against El Salvador (a national team). Yes, this is a head-to-head match-up, but the reality is that this “match-up” should be seen more as an “exhibition match” between the two teams. This is because this match will allow not only for both teams to have the opportunity to fine tune their players, but this match-up will allow the players of the Houston Dynamo’s who don't have enough minutes on the pitch to get those much-needed minutes.

In addition to that, this will also allow the Houston Dynamo to essentially “practice” and develop more team cohesion as the 2025 Dynamo team is still a new team. For El Salvador, this match will allow them to also fine tune their players so that its players will be even more prepared to compete in the upcoming 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup that is coming their way. There are some people that take the position that the Houston Dynamo as a team may “run at half speed” since this game is not a regular season match. Although this may sound plausible – it's widely believed that this is not the case as the overwhelming majority of Dynamo fans think that the new Dynamo team should go “harder” than they ever have before because they feel that the team still has to prove themselves in one way or another.

Whether that’s the case or not, is still up for grabs. But the one thing that everyone can agree on, is that this game between the Houston Dynamo and El Salvador will be a great game to watch as it kicks off tomorrow Wednesday March 19th, 2025, at the Shell Energy Stadium located in Downtown Houston, Texas.
