If there were two words to describe the performance of the Houston Dynamo’s last night it would be: “PISS POOR” according to several Dynamo fans. Another set of fans stated that last night's game was a “complete let down and they wanted the old team back”. There were some fans that showed some levels of optimism, but those fans were overshadowed by the negative comments made by football fans on both sides of the aisle. With the International Miami team scoring the first point within the first 5 minutes of the match; in the eyes of many Dynamo’s fans that was seen as nothing more than the first hot nail in the coffin for the newly minted Houston Dynamo team last night.

Getting into the stats, the Houston Dynamo took a total of 6 shots to International Miami’s 9. When it came to shots on target, the Dynamo’s stood at 2 while Miami stood at 5.  In terms of ball possession, the Dynamo took possession of the ball 46% of the time; Miami led with them having the ball 54% of the time. It should be noted that during the course of the match, it almost felt as if Miami was toying with the Dynamo’s on the pitch. This interesting dynamic demonstrated Miami's ability to dominate the Dynamo’s throughout the game.

Backing this claim, when it came to yellow cards, Miami led with 5 yellow cards as the Dynamo’s was issued 2. Although the Dynamo’s didn’t receive any red cards, Miami earned 1. It seemed as if whenever the Dynamo’s took possession of the ball Miami seemed to be all over them; at times appearing to clobber the Dynamo’s on the pitch. The Dynamo’s executed 457 successful passes with a pass accuracy rate of 82%. However, the Dynamo’s were overshadowed by Miami, who executed 535 successful passes at a rate of 85%.

In an attempt to push back against the dominance of Miami on the pitch, the Dynamo’s racked up a whopping 24 fouls while Miami accumulated 14 fouls. For many fans of the Dynamo’s and fans of football in general, the number of fouls that were racked up by the Dynamo is not only the highest they’ve said they have seen, but it almost made this season's Dynamo roster look like a bunch of amateurs at the Apollo. Both The Dynamo and Miami racked up equal offsides (3) and corners (2). The final score of the match resulted in the Houston Dynamo’s losing to International Miami 1-4.

How will the Dynamo’s do in their next match with Columbus (Ohio) football club? At the present time it would be unfair to compare this year’s Dynamo team to last year’s due to the heavy change ups in their roster. However, the win probability is out for the Dynamo’s next game against colobus and it looks exceptionally bleak. The win probability stands at a 53% chance of Columbus winning the game, with the Houston Dynamo standing at a 23% chance of winning the game with a 24% chance of a draw between both teams. How will the Dynamo’s fare in reality? It seems that the best thing Dynamo fans can do is hope for the best.
