Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s that time once again. I'm Bruce Avery II  “Mr.Old Soul”. I like to highlight Freelancers, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Influencers, and Creatives on their journey to success and what advice they have for anyone trying to start a business or work for themselves. Today, we will be highlighting Mrs. Melodie Moore, Owner and CEO of MROSE ELITE BEAUTY and we had a great conversation.

I had the chance to catch up with Mrs. Moore the other day and we had a great conversation which I've shared below.:

BA: Hey Mrs. Moore! How you been

MELODIE: Now sir don’t do that!

BA: Heh heh! My bad Melodie, how are you doing?

MELODIE: I’m fine, how are you?

BA: I'm doing good. I know you're busy, so I won't take up too much time. Let’s chat! Tell me who was your biggest supporter or mentor in your journey, and how did they impact your success?

MELODIE: My former instructor, supporter, and mentor Mrs. Janina Beyan-Cook who is a successful entrepreneur has been instrumental along my journey; as well as helpful insights from Ms. Joi Hunt. 

BA: You gotta love those inspirational teachers!  What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned that you would share with aspiring freelancers or entrepreneurs?

MELODIE: The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to surround yourself with other successful entrepreneurs to learn and/or network .

BA: Yes, that's the best thing to do right there, surround yourself with like-minded people! What led to that breakthrough in your career?

MELODIE: Wanting To support and leave a legacy for my six children.

BA: That's a great reason and answer. Where did you find the best resources or opportunities to grow your business?

MELODIE: I found the best resources and opportunities to grow my business by consistently attending small business webinars.

BA: So how do you stay motivated and push through challenges?

MELODIE: My main motivation is my children. However, I stay motivated by surrounding myself with likeminded individuals who hold me accountable in my personal and business life .

BA: That gives you a big advantage a lot of people don’t have! So, Looking back, what was the most defining moment in your journey, and How did it shape your path?

MELODIE: The most definitive moment in my career was when I gained confidence of actually being an entrepreneur. The fact that people actually purchase and appreciate my products was a “Game Changer” for me. It pushed me to go all in and give “Life” my best shot!

BA: Ah yes that sigh of relief when you've made something you like and people love it. That feeling of success is just Breathtaking. So Did your environment or community influence your success? If so, what advice would you give to those starting in different areas?

MELODIE:  My environment and community influence my success by supporting my business. The best advice that I will offer is to have a strong support system, and to support others with their endeavors as well. For those who may not have a strong support system; I would say, “Encourage Yourself” and be your own number one fan! 

BA: Encourage yourself and be your own number one fan. I need to put those Words on a shirt  mmm mmmm mmmm. Having a family that supports you is amazing. However, being in one of the main supporting roles can be a tedious unrelenting job. Let's face it, being a parent is not easy at all. The will and determination. To give your seeds the proper things they need to grow and be able to manage. While you are here and when you’re gone is one hell of motivation. Melodie is trying to build a legacy for her family and is doing pretty well.
