Interview by National Storytellers
Let us first say that it was an absolute pleasure to speak about Photojournalism with the National Storytellers. One of the issues that came about during the course of this interview was racism throughout the very beginning of the broadcast. However, it is important to note that racism will not prevail in 2024. During the course of this interview, we touched on how I and my colleagues got into photojournalism and on how VEDA Magazine was developed and came to be. We also talked about how I selected my first professional camera and how I took my first shots behind my first professional grade camera.
We also covered the code of ethics, values, and expectations of the National Press Photographers Associations (NPPA) and why we at VEDA Magazine work exceptionally hard to adhere to them. Moreover, we talked about the four pillars of VEDA Magazine which are Culture, Beauty, Geopolitics, and of course Entertainment. The conversation further pivoted into the types of stories and photos that we were able to capture as Photojournalists at VEDA Magazine. Lastly, we touched on what budding Photographers and Photojournalists should expect if they wish to pursue a career as a Photographer and/or photojournalist.
This interview is one that is meant to be light-hearted, funny, but more importantly informative and it should provide you with some insight into how I am as a Photographer and Photojournalist. Again, we at VEDA Magazine would like to say thank you to the National Storytellers for interviewing us on your platform; and please remember that VEDA Magazine is also open to you.
