If you’re a fan of action movies, this ones for you. Extraction 2 directed by Sam Hargrave and stars Chris Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani, Tornike Gogrichiani, Adam bessa, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakshvili, and features Idris Elba in a short role. If you’re unfamiliar with the Extraction series of films, it’s highly recommended that you take the time out to watch the first installment. Picking up where the first extraction film left off “Rake” played by Chris Hemsworth has been hospitalized after his last battle. And that’s all we are going to tell you about this film as we do not want to give away anymore of the movie than what we just did as we understand how important it is to maintain a sense of anticipation and suspense as it pertains to all action films.
However, we will say this, although the second installment of Extraction is good; meaning that it's shot really well and has a great storyline and plot and will most definitely keep you entertained – it's just not as good as the first installment of the movie franchise. We can’t put our finger on why it seems to slightly fall short, but it did. not that you’re going to be disappointed in the second film. But maybe it’s missing the “gritty” feel of the first one – again we can’t put our finger on it exactly. Outside of that it was a pleasure to watch Golsjifteh Farahani in action as she’s fighting and shooting the bad guys in the film. Ironically, it was also a pleasure to watch the bad guys of the film as well because they seemed so determined to “rid the world” of Rake. By the way, not to spill any beans, but the prison scene was great.
Bottom line: Extraction 2 is a Netflix film you should watch as it will not only keep you entertained but it sort of hints at another installment of the film coming across the horizon. But the question is will the next possible installment live up to the hype of the second and most definitely the first film? Only time will tell.
