This past Saturday in Houston Texas, The REBEL FASHION SHOW launched it's pilot fashion showcase which was spearheaded by Nina McGowen (IG: @myninadontplay) and if you missed it, it was to die for. Moreover, if you weren't in attendance, you completely missed out on her debut as a clothing designer. The REBEL FASHION SHOW pilot showcase was a small show that was dedicated to highlighting not only the clothing designs of Nina McGowen herself, but it was a fashion showcase that took the timeout to honor other Fashion Designers within the City of Houston as well as local musical talent. As a point of editorial privilege, the Houston music Artist that not only caught our eye, but captivated the crowd was none other than “Killa P”.

The REBEL FASHION SHOW featured clothing items that ranged from lingerie that was sponsored from "The Black Pussykat Store" to “distressed denim. The REBEL FASHION SHOW had something in store for just about everyone who may reside in the urban clothing demographic. Even more than that, the REBEL FASHION SHOW also highlighted local businesses and vendor's within and around the Houston area. One of the things that audience members raved about was the fact that REBEL FASHION SHOW promoted both ethnic and body diversity when it came to designing and the selection of models that graced the runway. From slim, to curvy, to plus size, it can be said that the REBEL FASHION SHOW served as a benchmark when it comes to promoting diversity within the Fashion Industry.
