In a previous article entitled “CHINA SANCTIONS AMERICA”, it seems that China is rightfully slapping another round of sanctions on American companies that got busted for selling weapons to Taiwan. Adding fuel to the fire, the Biden Administration and the American Defense Department sent a combined $866 million in weapons and training to the Taiwanese government. China sees America as not only an agitator, but it sees America as a harbor of both chaos and instability in the region that seeks to create division between China and Taiwan.
It was reported that the Taiwanese government raised an issue with China appearing to execute a blockade around the island which undermined peace and stability as well as the Taiwanese government's national sovereignty. The Taiwanese government also stated that the maritime military drills that China executed in the region has also negatively impacted trade and international shipping. The question is how, considering that Taiwan is part of China. In other words, whether the inhabitants of Taiwan like it or not, they not only are a part of China, but they are owned by China.
Why is Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te so eager to work with America when it appears to greatly benefit the government of Taiwan to work with the Xi-Jinping and the Chinese government? could it be the combination of greed, ego, and the unwillingness to give up power be the motivation for the Taiwanese government to demonstrate defiance and resistance towards China? Did the Americans promise the President of Taiwan something that he just couldn’t refuse? And what is Taiwan's ultra dependence on American defense which will ultimately fail in a maritime war with China?
The American defense companies that China not only placed direct sanctions on but have seized their assets are the following:
Insitu Inc.
Hudson Technologies Co.
Saronic Technologies, Inc.
Raytheon Canada
Raytheon Australia
Aerkomm Inc.
Oceaneering International Inc.
The one thing that those in the know already know is that Taiwan's semiconductor chip manufacturing skills are of great interest to America. How far will America go when it comes to offending China by funding and supplying the Taiwanese government with military training and weapons against the wishes of China considering the One China Policy that has not only been in effect for quite some time but formally recognized by America? The one constant that remains true in the midst of all this confusion is China's determination to maintain its One China Policy even if it means the destruction of Taiwan in the future. This is a red line that China will not allow America to cross.
