Let us first say at VEDA Magazine that we don’t condone anyone assaulting anyone.
However, no matter where you turn there seems to always be a reason to assault someone no matter how petty the reason is. And in the case of music mogul P. Diddy (Sean Combs) and Singer Cassie, no one really knows why P. Diddy assaulted Cassie, his significant other at the time (2016). But what we do know is: no one knows what Cassie may have done to provoke P. Diddy to embark on such actions on that day. Even more than that, no one knows why she decided to come forward now, years after the fact seeking a check instead of filing charges when the incident occurred and then going through the proper legal channels to obtain monetary compensation for damages that may have been caused by P.Diddy.
We can say this because it’s clear that Cassie had at the time the monetary means to afford a half decent Attorney that could have easily investigated the facts of her claim and articulated an argument to a Judge or jury for a successful assault claim against P. Diddy. The question remains: “Why did she wait so long to say anything?”. This question becomes even more relevant because she apparently moved on and got married years later after the assault took place.
Could it be that Cassie is not the innocent person many people in the media have made her out to be? Could it be that Cassie is just as obnoxious, money-chasing, and sass-mouth as many other women in America? Could it be that she, as a grown woman, has not learned the fundamental rules of how to engage a man as a woman – and that is to never directly challenge a man in an aggressive manner? Or could it be that Cassie is simply like the vast majority of women in America and doesn’t have the ability to choose the right man? Traditionally, it’s been said that women should not be allowed to pick men: rather their fathers or another close competent male within their family should be the one spearheading the selection and vetting process when it comes to what man she should be with.
Giving credit where credit is due, Houston Attorney Dennis Spurling asked the most relevant question of all: “Could it be that Cassie was chasing the “bag”?”. For those that don’t know what that “bag” is – it’s money. It’s a well-known fact that many women in America will select a man because he has money and status regardless of his level of morality. Again, we at VEDA Magazine aren’t saying this is the case with Cassie; but since no one really knows anything, people can’t help but to wonder. Given the camera footage presented by CNN we know who P. Diddy is. The question is who is Cassie?
