Paternity Fraud In America

Written by Michael Thervil

Did you know that 1 in 3 men in America have been a victim of paternity fraud? To be even more precise, 3 in every 10 men who actually performed paternity tests in America found out they have been victims of paternity fraud. That translates into anywhere between 5.3 million to 7.7 million men across the United States. For those of you that don’t know what paternity fraud is, it occurs when a woman either falsely accuses or makes a man falsely believe that he is the father of her child for financial gain. The women who commit this sinister and shameful crime hardly ever get punished. In fact, you barely hear about it. It seems as if men in America have no means to combat this kind of crime against them because of the judicial bias against them in their Criminal Justice System.

That’s not even the worst part about it. The Criminal Justice System in America can make a man pay child support for children that are not his, even if it’s been proven by a DNA test that the child in question is not biologically his. Now to be fair, this aspect of American Law is slowly changing; but for the men that have fallen victim to this law, it’s not changing fast enough. For instance, did you know that in some states in America, if you’re a single man and you date a woman that has a child, and you volunteer to pick that child up from anything such as daycare, a basketball game or baseball game, you can be placed on child support because in the U.S. Criminal Justice System you are seen as “taking on a fatherly role to the child”?

Why is this? This is because the states in America make money off putting men on child support. That’s right, in 2020 Texas profited raked in 4.8 billion dollars by utilizing its Criminal Justice System to place men on child support alone. Here’s another stat for you; in the year 2022, America made 32.7 billion dollars from placing men on child support. Adding insult to injury, this does not include all the men that either have not been placed on child support and or simply can’t be found to be mandated by the American Criminal Justice System to pay child support.

When it comes to paternity fraud in America, paternity fraud is not a crime, therefore it’s not a punishable offense under penal law. So that means, men who may have been either paying child support for decades or have been falsely told that they were the father of a woman’s child will never have the opportunity to file charges or even sue to get their money back. A famous American multi-millionaire R&B singer by the name of “Ne-Yo” paid child support for a child that wasn’t his in The State of California and he never got his money back. According to the Criminal Justice System in California, any man who puts himself out to be the father of a child, the mother can simply go to the courts and place that man on child support.

This is why so many men in America are deciding to turn away from dating single mothers. The financial risk is just too high for them. Moreover, the older the man gets, the more likely dating a single mother is seen as a form of financial suicide. With all this talk about justice for women, as if women are somehow being oppressed in America – one must ask themselves: “where is the justice for men?”.
