Since Tuesday this week, it appears that foreign fighters from the Georgian Legion have come to the front lines to help Ukraine fight in the Russian area of influence called the Kursk Region. What’s interesting about this is that there haven’t been any western based news sources that have revealed this fact. Instead, what’s being reported by western based news agencies is that more Ukrainian troops have advanced to the front lines of the battlefield. This is a false statement as it’s important to differentiate the difference between the Ukrainian soldiers and the inclusion of foreign soldiers, in this case the Georgian Legion (Mercenaries).

Understanding the difference between the two impacts the narrative of what’s going on when it comes to the Ukraine-Russian War. Since the insertion of the Georgian Legion into the battlespace specifically within the in the Russian controlled region of Kursk, Russian citizens that reside in the area have been crying and pleading out to Russian President Vladimir Putin to do something about the Georgian Legion that has been operating in the area. It would be until this past Tuesday that President Vladimir Putin would not only hear their cries for help but act on their behalf to eliminate the violence executed by the Georgian Legion that threaten Russian citizens in the region.

According to sources the Georgian Legion has conducted “indiscriminate strikes on civilians, residential buildings, and ambulances”. In response to this, Russia launched a counter offensive strike on the Georgian Legion that led to the killing of just under 1,000 Ukrainian troops and Georgian Legion service members and the desecration of well over 100 armored vehicles since Tuesday in the Kursk region. The Georgian government is sure to pay a heavy price for their involvement in this matter. Currently the Georgian government has not issued a public statement. It was reported that President Vladimir Putin has described the attack by the Georgian Legion as a “large-scale provocation”. And it was this large-scale provocation that led to the Russian government calling for a federal emergency in the region, thus promoting the Russian government to respond in this manner.

The question of the day is how long is Ukraine going to continue to resist their inevitable defeat? It seems as if the answer to that question depends on how long America and the Collective West continues to fund what is left of the Ukrainian government. So even though Ukraine's recent attacks are considered to be one of their largest attacks since the start of the war, Russians military response is considered to be one of their equally best one yet.
