With the latest counter attacks on Ukraine due to the Ukrainian authorities assassinating Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillo in Moscow last week, what's remaining of the Ukrainian government is learning a valuable lesson in escalation. The latest Russian counterattack on Ukraine's power grid in Dnipropetrovsk region left not only several businesses and civilian homes destroyed; but it left at least one person dead and roughly 6 others injured. The magnitude of this attack has been enhanced due to the Ukrainian power grid being the target of this latest counterattack by Russia and the winter temperatures hitting just above the freezing mark.
In a devastating blow to Ukraine, today Russia launched a barrage of over 70 missiles and over 100 drones that battered both the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv inflicting damages that will be difficult for Ukraine to recover from. Volodymyr Zelensky stated that
“Every massive Russian strike requires time for preparation. It is never a spontaneous decision. It is a deliberate choice – not only of targets but also of timing and date. Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhumane?”
Even though most people don’t like to admit it, when it comes to war there is no such thing as a convenient time and date to launch an attack, no matter what side you're on. The key takeaway is to not only be prepared but to seek peace as quickly as possible so that such counterattacks like the recent one launched by Russia and others can be avoided. But in the case of Volodymyr Zelensky, it can be said that he is reckless in this regard.
This claim is backed by the fact that he knows that he doesn’t have the manpower, or the weapons needed to stop Russia. So, instead of facing the reality that he is on the shitty end of the stick when it comes to this war, he has continued to place Ukrainians in harm's way. When he makes the decision to forcibly draft Ukrainian citizens as young as 18 into his losing war speaks volumes to how reckless he is at this moment in time. In short, it can be said that he simply doesn’t care about the Ukrainian people.
Another portion of Ukraine that was subjected to Russian missile strikes was the city of Kryvyi Rih, home of Volodymyr Zelensky. This strike resulted in one person being killed and 17 others wounded. It seems the faster Volodymyr Zelensky comes to his senses and calls for an end to this war with Russia, the faster the people of Ukraine can achieve stability and begin the healing process as a nation. Our prediction is that Volodymyr Zelensky will not see the light until he himself sees the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel before they shut the door of his coffin. Maybe American President Donald Trump might be able to influence Volodymyr Zelensky, until then, it’s guaranteed that the people of Ukraine will suffer.
