Sofia Vergara: Another One For The Streets

Sofia Vergara is nothing short of a great actress who is just as witty as she is charming. There are a lot of things to like about her as an actress. However, considering that her recent husband divorced her says a lot about the caliber of woman she is in her personal life. In America, where women, not men file up to 80% of all divorces for some of the most trivial reasons, finally there is a man that has the courage to reject a woman (no matter how good she looks) for not getting on his campaign; and that man is Joe Manganiello.

Even though he gets kudos from many men, there are just as many people that would argue that the social roles of women have changed over the decades, and thus men should “keep up” with the times. Despite that argument men, especially quality men on the other hand seem to be holding on to traditional family values, norms, and ideals. Keep in mind that when a woman gets with a man, she’s signing up to get with his game plan or else the relationship will not work.

While speaking on why her second husband for over 10 years decided to divorce her at the over-ripened age of 51, Sofia Vergara stated that the reason why she’s going along with ending, yet another marriage is because “He wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mom.” In the secret minds of men regarding this situation, you’re either an old mom, grandmother, or your old ass is for the streets.

Backing this silent position of quality men is the fact that Sofia Vergara stated that she would rather go out with her friends and her now ex-husband (47-year-old Joe Manganiello) would rather stay at home. Could it be that he has a valid reason for staying home as a 47-year-old man? At his age he knows that there’s hardly anything worthwhile in the streets, and this is especially true when one either has a family or harbors the desire to create one.

But there’s something that’s worth pointing out and that is, Joe Manganiello replacing Sofia Vergara with a younger model and actress Caitlin O'Connor who is currently 33 years of age. Now as far as fertility goes, she (Caitlin O'Connor) is reaching the geriatric phase, but it goes to show you that men will always select a woman who is agreeable and open to getting on their game plan versus a woman who is not.

In the case of Sofia Vergara, there’s a question that comes to mind and that is: “How are you looking to be a grandmother, when you can’t even set the proper example as a wife to your grandchildren?”. That’s like saying you want to run before you can walk. The idea that one can be a grandmother in title only without fulfilling the necessary prerequisites can be considered nothing more than a social shortcut in America that most women take to bypass the hard work and dedication it takes to achieve such a prestigious title.

The role of a grandmother in society is to manage the socialization and care of children and supervise their daughters to ensure that their family norms and values are correctly passed down in a way to ensure their families legacy. And Sofia Vergara completely disregarded and missed that mark when she made the following comment: “When my son becomes a dad, let him bring the baby to me for a while and I’ll give it back to him and go on with my life. That's what I have to do”. The offloading of children for personal convenience is one big reason why America is in the shape that it's in right now.

Sofia Vergara, even though we love you as an actress, we suggest you change your game plan when it comes to your personal life.
