UPDATE
As luck would have it. I had a flight to Indiana with a layover at Atlanta Hartsfield–Jackson International Airport. Since my layover was close to 3½ hours. I decided to look for a USO. If you do not know what a USO is. It is a private, non-profit organization that provides morale and recreational services to members of the US Military, with programs in 140 centers worldwide. The one at this airport was nice. Had a couple of old guys making hot dogs, plenty of refreshments to drink and comfortable chairs, where you could charge your phone or iPad.
I noticed when I walked into the lounge that there was a young lady comfortable in one of the leather chairs. I smiled at her and began charging my electronics. As she got up, I recognized the uniform, it was a Spirit Airlines flight attendant. I quickly let her know that my trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico started off bad because Spirit Airlines had delays which set me back and at the same time my luggage was unaccounted for. What happened? I arrived at the San Juan airport two hours later. I waited until 2:30 am to finally receive my luggage.
The return trip home was slightly delayed, but it was a direct flight. We talked for over 2½ hours and became fast friends. She explained to me that all airlines have their problems and that it was just a bad day for Spirit Airlines, which sometimes happens. I told her ok, I would consider putting an update to the article. So, if she reads this, I might consider Spirit Airlines in the future because of her.
