Live music on Friday's at the Thai Garden Resturant
One of the things that we love to do at VEDA Magazine is to be around great people, with great food with great live music at the Thai Garden on Fridays. There is something about being in a place where there is no drama, with people being dressed well and seeming to be always smiling. With that being said, the waitstaff at the Thai Garden is ultra accommodating and displays a sort of professionalism that seems to have been lost in many restaurants around the country. This is not to say other restaurants have no sense of customer service – but the waitstaff at the Thai Garden presents a positive-but relaxed vibe that we don’t have the words to describe.
Besides the great food and great waitstaff, why do we enjoy the Thai Garden so much? Honestly, it’s the type of crowd that the Thai Garden tends to attract at their restaurant. Well-to-do people, that are either retired, about to retire or are simply enjoying their Golden Years with the people that they love being around the most. It’s such an exciting sight to see and experience that it puts you in a place where you feel at ease. Again, not only is the crowd friendly, but it’s a delight to see older adults slow dancing on the dance floor to songs that we haven’t heard in a good while.
On Friday’s the Thai Garden features live music that ranges from the 60’s to the early 2000’s as the husband-and-wife duo Mike and Dawn sing and entertain the patrons during their brief intermissions. It’s a place that’s filled with love and great conversation. In fact, we think that it’s a great way for both younger and older generations to reach out to each other and have conversations that connect them over some of the best Thai Cuisine in Houston Texas.
As always, Steve and Weeraya Tennison, the husband-and-wife management team at the Thai Garden are greeting and serving guests and making sure that you feel right at home. In secret, when we are at the Thai Garden on Friday evenings we feel as if we have missed a time in American history when men and women took the time out to really hang out and socialize. This was a time in American history that was so far away from the proverbial “swipe right – swipe left” culture that we find ourselves in today.
In short, if you're looking for a restaurant that you can go to, so you can relax, enjoy not only great live music, but great conversation with great people, over great food, while basking in the atmosphere that articulates a time when people actually interacted with each at the table and not staring at some screen; the Thai Garden is the place you need to be.
The Thai Garden is located at 6324 Richmond Ave., Houston, Tx 77057. Feel free to call in your orders for pick up at (832) 322-7586 or use UberEATS for delivery. You can also make reservations. Operating hours for the Thai Garden are Monday through Friday 11am-3pm with a slight intermission and resuming business at 5pm-10pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the operating hours are from 11am-10pm. Steve and Weeraya Tennison of the Thai Garden restaurant take a bow – because this by far is one of the best Thai restaurants within the City of Houston and we thought that we should let the people of Houston know who you are, what you do, and where they can find you.
