R. Kelly Preforming at the BET Awards
The one thing that everyone who listens to R&B says is that the world misses Robert Sylvester Kelly musically known as “R. Kelly”. When we spoke to several R. Kelly fans, they all undoubtedly stated that the Music Industry has not been the same without him. One fan stated: “He made sex music sexy.” That’s a lot to say about one man's influence on the Music Industry. However, there’s no denying that it’s true.

“R. Kelly was the only music artist that could make the G.D.s and Blackstone’s slow dance and step in the club.” a longtime fan said. If you don’t know what G.D.’s (Gangster Disciples) and Blackstone’s are, they are street gangs known nationally but are native to Chicago. Outside of that, when it came to his legal troubles, which led to him to being convicted of committing numerous sex crimes; we found that more people were upset at the women and the Criminal Justice System than R. Kelly.

Many people felt as if he was being taken advantage of and punished unjustly. We are reporting this because contrary to what other media outlets report - the case could be made that the only victim in this circumstance was R. Kelly. See, it can be rightfully said that all these women knew exactly what they were getting into. In fact, a couple of the parents pushed their daughters right into his arms and there were women that took and paid for a plane tickets and cabs rides themselves to see him. Moreover, it’s a well-known fact that the women that accused him of sexual crimes only came around him because his fame, fortune, and the fact that they thought they could obtain some sort of notoriety for simply being around them.

When it came to making hit records, there was hardly anyone more talented than R. Kelly. With 38 Top 40 Hits,11 Number One Hits, 12 Billboard Awards, 11 Soul Train Awards, 19 BMI Awards amongst others that came to the grand total of 110 awards and 274 musical nominations. With that being said, it’s easy to see how R. Kelly became known as “The King of R&B. Beyond writing classic songs such as “Slow Dance”, “Bump n Grind”, “I Believe I Can Fly”, “Ignition” and everyone’s favorite “Step In The Name of Love” followed by “Pause Flash” - he wrote songs for a lot of other vocally talented artists such as:
Michael Jackson - “You Are Not Alone"
Celin Dion – “I’m Your Angel”
Destiny’s Child – “Stimulate Me”
Three songs on Charlie Wilson’s album “Charlie Last Name Wilson”
Nearly every song on Aaliyah’s album “Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number”
K-Ci & JoJo - “Life”
Joe – “More And More”
Beanie Siegel – “All The Above”
Maxwell – “Fortunate”
Britney Spears – “Outrageous”
Multiple songs for Whitney Houston
Blaque – “808”
Toni Braxton – “I Don’t Want To”
Beenie Man - “King of the Dancehall”
B2K – “Bump, Bump, Bump”
Ginuwine - “HELL YEAH”
Michael Jackson’s - “Cry”
Justin Beiber’s – “PYD”
Nick Cannon –“Gigolo”
Ron Isley – most of the “Body Kiss” album and multiple collaborations
And the list just goes on and on.
But we at VEDA Magazine like, love and will always appreciate the musical works that R. Kelly has produced over his musical career of 30 years. It’s just a shame that the music industry and the world in general had to lose such a great musical genius to these rotten women who had no proof upon claim of any sexual abuse. Among these rotten women who used this low hanging fruit to make a profit off consisted of the decrepit likes of Gayle King, the wide backed Dream Hampton and the heavy-hearted heifer named Tamra Simmons.

Are we calling names? No. But we’re providing is the most apt description of these rotten women who made it a point to profit off the name of man who was adversely judged publicly before he had the opportunity to see a courtroom. But we bet you two things for sure and one thing for certain - what they did to R. Kelly they wouldn’t dare do to a Caucasian Man. The entire world knows plenty of Caucasian Men who have not only dated underage women; but have even married them for the world to see.
