TRUMP ASSASSINATION 2.0 – POLITICAL UNREST IN AMERICA

Written by Michael Thervil

Yesterday It was reported that a second failed assassination attempt on the life of former President Trump occurred at his privately owned golf course (Trump International Golf Club) in West Palm Beach Florida. This second failed assassination attempt on the former American president’s life comes roughly two months after the first attempt on his life that occurred at a Pennsylvania rally July 2024. According to reports from the Secret Service, they were forced to open fire at 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh who was positioned roughly 400-500 yards away from former President Trump.

Although former President Trump was unharmed during this failed assassination attempt, it’s leaving many people inside and outside of America wondering what’s happening to the American political system that has people so political charged to one end of the political spectrum or the other that they are willing to engage in political acts of violence against one politician or another? It was also reported that Ryan Wesley Routh was a staunch democrat supporter, who appeared to have expressed various extremist motivations and ideologies on his social media accounts.

From displaying public anger and aggression at the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin for his Special Military Operation in Ukraine and even going as far as to traveling to Ukraine to protest Russia; it leaves people around America and the rest of the world to reexamine America’s political apparatus to a level of international scrutiny that has never been seen on the world stage.

Could it be true that America itself is more likely to fall on its own sword due to the seemingly uncontrolled political ideologies that have polarized Americans to some high degree or another? for those that attuned to the political chessboard the answer is it's likely. For many it seems that it’s not the legal system that has caught their attention, but it's a combination of the perceived adverse change to the morals, values, societal norms that have the vast majority of the American public in an uproar.

Through the eyes of the international’s community, America has become a not only the laughingstock around the world, but it’s a country that has been deemed a place to be raped and, in some cases, pillaged by opportunistic people. America has become the place where both elected officials and judges in it highest courts cant definitively define what a “man” or “woman” is; thus, it’s easy to see and understand why the vast majority of Americans are willing to go to great lengths to inflict violence on people who they perceive to be endangering their core/fundamental beliefs (even if their presumptions are faulty/false). What we see coming down the pipe for Americans is the increased application of both law-enforcement and the increase of power that law-enforcement authorities will have over people to combat the political extremism that is occurring through the United States.

For many people in America that could be seen as a promising sign of relief, for others it can be seen as not only a restriction of the lives of Americans but also a sign of governmental overreach on all levels of governance. But no matter how anyone sees it, this dichotomy is still polarizing, and it’s predicted by many to only intensify over time.
