Whataburger Playing Games with Their Banana Shake

Listen if you're not from Texas and or have never heard of Whataburger, you will never know how much Whataburger means to the people of Texas. Before I address the main point of this article, I'm going to assure you that if you heard that Whataburger could set you back a little bit economically – it's true. However, I can tell you that you are getting a burger that is “freshly” made (many people would argue that there is no such thing as “fresh” when it comes to fast food).

However, when I use the term fresh at Whataburger, I mean that the patty is hand-formed at the restaurant and not from some unknown food manufacturer from somewhere you have never heard of. But I'm not here to address their burgers, although they are really good; especially when you swap the normal bun for a brioche bun (don’t forget to add the cheese).

I'm here to address the following grievance: “Why don’t you guys just make the banana shake available all year long!”. If you are wondering if this is this sort of a complaint letter – yes, it is! Again, if you haven't been to or heard of Whataburger and actually had their banana shake you just wouldn’t know how great a combination it is to wash down their burgers and fries with it. And quite frankly, I don’t think I'm alone when I say this but – the people of Texas miss it and we want it back ASAP and we want it permanently available on the menu all year round.

Now for the people that actually create the menu scheme at Whataburger, there is nothing wrong with the current selection of milkshakes and they taste great. But do you understand how many times I've come to Whataburger only to find tears of disappointment in the eyes of customers because your banana shakes weren't available? And to be forced to watch people huddle around that customer and attempt to give their deepest and sincerest sympathies and condolences? I think not!

So, all jokes set aside – can you guys please for the love of all things sacred in this world make your banana shake available all day, every day without exception available for us? We the people of Texas have asked; then the people of Texas spoke up and out – and we the people of Texas are now at the point of begging.
