If you weren't at the TSU Women's Basketball game tonight 2/19/2024; you are most definitely missing the heat. Tonight, the Lady Tigers are duking it out against the Southern University women's basketball team. Currently the score is 22 (TSU) to 36 (Southern University) in the second quarter. With Texas Southern University being strong in the paint; Southern University demonstrated excellence from the outside. During the course of the first two quarters, the ladies literally took it to the floor in order to gain control of the ball and trust us when we say the scuffling over the ball was fierce.
Although both teams are playing aggressively, maybe that could be considered a good thing as both teams have an equal shot at gaining substantial points from the free throw line. During the course of the game the referees had to remind both teams to check the levels of their aggression on the floor. Throughout the third quarter, the TSU Lady Tigers were trailing behind Southern University 38-55. It seems as if the Lady Tigers were struggling to gain points that would keep them afloat against Texas Southern University.
There were times during the game it seemed like TSU Lady Tigers were “giving” the ball away according to some overly agitated fans. Although everyone has a bad day, this game seems as if tonight was a bad day for the TSU Lady Tigers. The ending score was TSU Lady Tigers 52-68 Southern University.
