Today the Trump Administration executed one of what they call the “most brutal” air strikes on Ansarullah (Houthis) north of Sanaa’a in the city of Sadda. The airstrike was launched in an effort to stop Ansarullah from not only from launching attacks on Israeli affiliated ships that seek passage through the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, but in protest to stop the Collective West from supporting Israel's genocidal campaign on the people of Palestine, specifically Gaza.
The Trump Administration claims that today's airstrikes were conducted to also send a message to Iran. It’s a well-known fact that Iran supports Ansuallah and other factions of what they call the “Axis of Resistance” financially, logistically, and militarily. It was reported by many people in the region that when the airstrike was executed “it sounded like an earthquake”.
Earthquake or not, the truth of the matter is that the airstrike that was conducted by the United States has come on the heels of secret talks between America and Iran which did not result in any productive measures. The main driver of the talks between America and Iran was centered on getting Ansarullah to stop executing attacks on Israeli linked ships in the region. In short, Iran informed the Trump Administration that they do not “control” the actions of Ansuallah and that they operate in complete autonomy outside of direct Iranian control. This is what served as the precursor for today's airstrikes in Sadaa, Yemen.
Ansuallah has repeatedly stood on their position of not stopping their launching of attacks on Israeli linked ships until Israel stops its campaign of genocide against the people of Palestine. They [Ansarullah ] also revealed that they will continue to launch attacks on Israeli backed ships until the people of Gaza receive the humanitarian aid that is owed to them. For America, they are citing issues of Ansarullah disrupting the freedom of navigation of vessels in the region which has drastically affected international commercial shipping and trade.
According to the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, the results of the American airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 9 civilians and the serious wounding of another 9. Keep in mind that this is not a comprehensive of the 18 that were adversely affected by the American airstrike as the situation is still developing. It was reported that most of the people that were either killed or seriously wounded by the airstrike were women and children. The issue with the Americans airstrikes is that there haven’t been any reports of any service members of Ansarullah were killed or injured during the strike.
Instead, the only thing that came out of the American airstrikes were the second order effects which means that airstrikes like these will only strengthen the resolve of Ansarullah and further legitimize them in the eyes of the public within the region. Backing our claim is that directly after the American airstrike, Ansarullah vowed to continue conducting operations and sinking ships in the Gulf of Aden and the red sea. To date Ansarullah out of 90 operations in the region have sunk two ships, killed several sailors, and successfully resisted American and British war ships.
